About the Inn

Seven rooms. Real mountain town. Something better.

Not a hotel. Not a resort.
Something better.

The Ski Inn isn't trying to be a luxury hotel. There's no lobby lounge. No concierge desk. No spa menu. What we are is a seven-room lodge in a real mountain town — the kind of place where you unlock your room with your phone number, walk to dinner in five minutes, and fall asleep to the quiet of the Chugach Mountains.

We're for people who came to Alaska to be in Alaska — not to be insulated from it.

We've been welcoming guests year-round to one of Alaska's most beautiful and authentic mountain towns. Whether you're here for the skiing at Alyeska, the summer trails, or just a quiet weekend surrounded by mountains — we want your stay to be easy, comfortable, and genuinely Alaskan.

Why Seven Rooms

Small is intentional.

Seven rooms means we stay small on purpose. Each room is named for a Girdwood landmark — the mountains, the valley, the inlet, the park. The names aren't branding; they're the actual views and features that make each room feel distinct.

Small means no crowds. No waiting. No impersonal experience. You're a guest, not a room number.

Part of Girdwood

Girdwood has about 2,000 full-time residents. It's not a tourist town built around a resort — it's a real community of people who live here because the skiing is incredible, the hiking is world-class, and the mountains never get old.

The Ski Inn is part of that community. We recommend the same restaurants, trails, and experiences that locals love — because that's how you actually experience Girdwood.
